Mak Ayah Pelajar Cikgu Pentadbiran

An ex-student of mine came today to appeal for his case. A year ago, he registered at my college and failed all of his papers with CGPA below 1.00. He was dismissed. The reason for his failure - skipped classes, missed quizzes and tests, late submission of assignments etc.

When his friends registered for Diploma the following semester, he repeated his Pre-Dip and repeated his old 'habits' - skipped classes, MIA during quizzes and tests etc. I called him and talked to him personally and I thought he understood, unfortunately he again failed to turn up for classes.

I sent the first warning to him and c.c. to his parents. MIA still. The second warning came and I had to call his parents before sending the letter. Talked to his mother and found out that he lied about many things and hid his first warning.

Later his father came to discuss his problems, and we decided to give him one last chance. Again, he didn't live up to our expectations. Finally I had to send him packing two weeks before the final examination (as agreed earlier).

This afternoon he came with his father. He had to convince the officer at the RP dept to issue him an offer letter to study here for the third time! His father told me that he has changed. And I believe him; being a teacher, I will always have a soft spot for my students no matter how naughty and 'evil' they are/were. So I told his father that we need to convince the officer that he has really changed!

The officer was very stern and didn't want to issue the letter at first. After he gave the students some advice, he finally agreed to allow this student to register in two weeks time.

I was there witnessing everything. I felt sad seeing the father having to go through such trouble because of this immature boy. I guess, we are lucky because our parents love us very much and even when we did wrong, they came out to lead us to the correct path, and make sacrificies that we can only wish we could repay. Our parents have/had to endure all the yelling, all the maki hamun and all the negative perspectives just to make us 'human' - good ones, of course!

The real question here is...have we done enough for our parents?

:::lagenDa buDak seTan:::

(masa zaman kegemilangan ahadiat)... zaman aku dlu, sape yg tak bace novel ahadiat ni kira ketinggalan zaman la.. masa aku mula bace novel die, ni masa form 5.. dedekat spm masa tu (pasal tu spm pon so-so je result)...

sabtu tu, aku tensi teramat sampai aku pon tarik la kezen aku nk g tgk CERITA CINTA AGUNG ni.. yang KHABARNYA boleh mengalahkan kisah cinta pontianak TWILIGHT.. so, aku pon dgn muke tak malunya masuk panggung (maklumlah... jarang tgk cite melayu kat panggung malah bole dikira dgn jari aku berapa kali masuk thk cite melayu).. tp kerana aku rasa, cte ni mmg tahap dewa, aku pon masuk dgn bangganya.. (kezen aku plak pilih tmpt yg kena dongak k... sbb panggung sgt penuh)..

tu diaaaaaa..... lagu die mmg lyn la tp aku rasa cerita cinta yang beratus2 malah mungkin cecah ribuan muka surat ni telah dikompres sehingga jalan cerita die sgt laju... (atau mungkin aku yg meletakkan expectation tinggi untuk cerita MELAYU).. muka farid kamil yang hensem tu (hensem ke die?) boleh nampak seketul2 jerawat die... bibir die.. hiyeeeeeeeeee.... gambar yg terlalu closed up.. no..no..no... ada satu part... gambar lisa kena lamar kat kedai bunge (somthing like that la.. pd pndpt aku.. mcm babak dlm cite Twilight masa edward ngan bella g aktiviti sains kat mana tah.. ) lebih kurang camtu la ala2 nya... sambung nk kritik blik... ada ke ptt, gambar masa kasyah lamar tu, gambo farid je penuh.. gambo lisa setengah smp idung.. pulok tu, gambo bekas cincin die tu nampak bunge yg atas je.... sgt keciwa.....

jgn bandingkan karya luar ngan karya negara kita.. yeke? cerita cinta agung PUTERI GUNUNG LEDANG malah lebih HEBAT.. kerana apa? kerana garapan yg teliti.. kisah sejarah itu juga bukannya sepuluh atau dua puluh muka surat... tp.. masih membanggakan... komen byk2 pon... nampak sgt ko keciwa.. so.. kesimpulannya, kalau anda nk habiskan duit anda untuk cerita yang biasa2 sahaja, silakan.. tp.. sy tidak menyesal sbb... sbb? sbb.. cerita ini pernah menjadi cerita kegilaan aku masa belajar dlu.. jd... sokong jela...

p/s? tak pyh nk p/s-p/s... mungkin keterujaan semua pihak di produksi yang nk pecah panggung utk cerita ni, tak ambil berat tntg kekemasan cerita die.. but... masih ada hasil kreatif yg cantik dlm tu...

Selamat Hari Lahir

Barulah aku faham kenapa dia beriya-iya benar mahu aku menontonnya.

Cukuplah sekali dia katakan "You need to move on too".

Freedom abused!

More and more people today are gainning access to knowledge and information. No doubt it is a positive development in building a nation. However, with progress comes challenges that are subtle enough to tempt our subconscious to break the 'rules' and the 'norms'.

It is quite true that some 'rules' ought to be re-analyzed given the fact that the rules were/are created by imperfect human beings. But how about rules and guidance given from high above?

Humans are given freedom to choose the way they behave and live. They are also given the freedom of expression and the freedom of speech. However, this freedom doesn't come for 'free'. We are accountable and responsible for our prized freedom. You can say whatever you want on any social webpage and believe and express anything in this short life but you are responsible for every word that you utter, for every action that you do, for every single thing that crosses your mind and heart even when others can't hear or see it.

Unfortunately, many people do not realize this and thus do and say things that hurt others and in the end hurt themselves. Some, like me, understand this as a fact but face difficulties in putting it into practice due to our own ignorance and desire. Hence, I am blogging this one out to be a reminder for me and for others.

I love the freedom given to me, but I am also worried if I have abused (and I had definitely) it and hurt others in the course of satisfying my ego and my desire to win every fight. When I see how others hurt their friends and families through the comments they posted online, I feel like I belong to that assaulting group and I feel bad. I want to belong to a better group of people, I want to be a better person and I definitely no longer want to abuse this very short-lived freedom given to me.

I want to fear the One who provides me with this freedom and I want to at least remember that I am accountable for my doings whenever I am up to something that abuses my freedom. It's time to change. To change for better.

Aku cuba jadi dewasa, cuba berbincang cara dewasa, one-to-one kata si angmo sebelah apartment Nina. Tapi dia enggan mencuba to talk things out. Aku tak faham.

Minggu lepas Imri bagitahu aku dia dan buah hatinya bergaduh. Bukan kali pertama. Aku tanya dia, apa resolusi kau? Selamba dia jawab, pisah.

Aku bingung.

Being alienated ain't the issue here yieehaw. Thanks wulf for the invite.

Salam..tumpang lalu ye...cik aiko nk mnulis nieyh..cik aiko tesgtla bohsan d opis ni...mengadap tenet shj dr pg... klik sane klik sini segala ceruk gosip artis cik aiko jumpe...terhidangla dgn kehidupan sebilangan selebriti yg sgt tidak bermoral (cik aiko x bilang smua ye, tp kebanyakkan selebriti-cik aiko merujuk kpd selebriti tempatan-yg luar ngara tuh x yah compare la dh memg jauh sgt-)...terkojut cik aiko nengok gosip2 ni smua, tu blum lg crita yg smpai pd tlinga cik aiko..emm nk caye ke x, teserahla...kite punye akal dan fikiran sendri... so pd yg nk jdkan selebriti sbg role model tu renung2kn la... byk drama, byk plastiknyer hidup selebriti kita ni...

tp jgn la pulak ckp cik aiko ni ortodoks sgt ke old skul ke pe...ade gak selebriti yg cik aiko salute (wat ketika ini) sprt yuna (owh org ckp suara cik aiko mcm die bile cik aiko senyap...ok cik aiko tipu je, sebab kalo senyap, mane leh kua suara)..cantik je akak yuna tu (akak ke?)..jgn la ko brubah cik yunalis zarai oi...

cik aiko tulis ni utk renungan besama...cik aiko pun byk kurgnyer...kdg bile menulis pasal org, sbnrnye menulis tentg hal sendri..kerna kita x sempurna, dan kerna "saya" perlu "kamu" utk menjadi pengkritik yg mampu meningkatkan kesempurnaan "saya" dan bukan menjatuhkan "saya"...
